...is a group of citizens in the Milan, Michigan area, promoting and preserving community events like the Milan Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, Milan’s annual fireworks display, and music performances in Wilson Park. This ongoing support effort is known as the Spirit of Milan
In an era when government is able to provide fewer “nonessential” services, the citizen members of Moving Milan Forward maintain that it is indeed “essential” for families to enjoy their community, spend a relaxing evening with their neighbors, and take full advantage of their community’s charming downtown and scenic parks.
Our keystone project is “Sunset Point,” a multi-recreational lakeshore development project. When completed, it will transform the Ford Lake-Wabash Street frontage area into an attractive venue for picnicking, fishing, and walking.
