We promote transportation options for a sustainable and livable community. The Washtenaw Bicycling and Walking Coalition is comprised of local organizations, agencies and retail stores, as well as individual cyclists and walkers. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our mission is to make Washtenaw County a national leader in bicycling and walking by improving facilities, policies, and community support through advocacy and education. Our vision... We envision a day when bicycling and walking are safe, comfortable, convenient, and commonplace for everyone in our community. Our values... WBWC is guided by the following values in the work we do... Collaboration - Cooperative and constructive problem solving Civility - Respectful dialogue and interactions on the street, in the media, and in meetings Equal access - Safe and convenient non-motorized transportation options for all people.
